Online Earning is one of the most popular topics on the Internet. and many people are intersted in earning online. Some of them earn through blogging, freelancing, video making and selling stuff such as themes, softwares etc while others use PTC (Paid-To-Click) sites, Where they are paid to visit some sites.
Now-a-days, Whenever I visit an online site, torrent search engine, or an adf.ly ad, a pop-up screen appears which reads:
“Earn $400 online per month without making any kind of Investment and $5 daily by simply visiting some (About 200 to 300) sites on daily basis”.
Here is a screenshot:
Update: Another Pop-up ad of somevisits that i found.
Wow!! That’s was an amazing offer. But wait, Is it possible, that a PTC website offers “200 to 300” sites on daily basis? Is their any PTC that have such good number of advertisers? And if their is, then that website must be Approx. 5 to 6 years old.
So, To find website’s age, WHOIS data of website was checked. ( WhoIs data is the website record which tells when the website was registered and who is the owner of the website)
But, WHOIS data was almost opposite to my expectations, Website was first registered on July 22, 2012 Which means that site isn’t more old then 15 Months, Which aroused my suspicion about the site. So Here is a review of the site.
First Impression of the site was quite good. It looked like a professional PTC site. But There was something that caught my attention, and that was “Featured Advertisers” Heading. (Click on screenshot to enlarge)
All of them were multi-national and trusted brands like LG, Hostgator, TripAdvisor etc. But they were just their to show visitors that SomeVisits.com site is a trustworthy site. But they were all Fake.
Infact, None of them actually advertise on the site.
Inside the Website:
To investigate more about the site, I created an account with false Information. After creating the account. I received 3 emails from somevisits websites. One of them was providing FAQ about the website.
Soon after signing up, I logged into my account, where i found 4 messages in SomeVisits.com’s Builtin Inbox, And one of them was about pricelist of different countries.
Then, Without wasting further time, I clicked on “Start Today Work” tab.
(Remember, Professional companies are careful about spelling and grammar on their website and there is a grammar mistake in above phrase, it should be “Start Today’s Work”)
A new window opened by clicking “Visit Site” Button. I visited 24 sites and all of them were Most Trusted, International Websites such as Apple, HP, Sears, Intel, Ebay, Amazon are some of them.
Do you really think that sites like Apple, Amazon, Ebay need PTC advertisement? And if they need, DO you think that they will choose an newbie site like “SomeVisits”? Ask from yourself. It was just a drama, A bait to catch the big fish. And that big fish was YOU.
Why am I calling it a SCAM/Fraud?
Have you noticed that text on sidebar on “SomeVisits.com site?
“Note: You will be required to download and install RPV Tracking Software before reaching your unpaid balance $5. ”
On scanning their tracking software, 6 Anti-viruses detected it as a virus/malware. It is possible that scammer/website owner may use this software to collect information (Identity Thief) about you., spy on you, or hack your data/pc/online accounts/passwords and use it for some illegal purpose.
There isn’t such a thing which will make you a millionaire in just 1 night. And most of the ads that claim “Earn $300/$400/$500 Online” “Earn Online money by Doing Nothing“ and “Get Jobs on Internet, No Skills Needed” are just scams.
If you are joining a PTC site, make sure to search about it on Google and check for payment proof if possible. And if you find that site suspicious, LEAVE IT IMMEDIATELY. Also if that site is offers you some sort of file, Then scan that file with multiple anti-viruses, and if anyone of them (Even a single one) finds it suspicious, then IMMEDIATELY LEAVE THAT SITE.
